Who Am I

I’m Goran Vasić, founder of GV Soccer and a lifelong soccer professional dedicated to helping players reach their full potential. My journey began at the age of 8 in the Red Star Belgrade youth academy, leading to a professional playing career in Yugoslavia and the United States, where I competed for teams including the Houston Hotshots, Cleveland Crunch, Pittsburg Riverhounds, Philadelphia KiXX, Milwaukee Wave, and New Jersey Ironmen. Along the way, I earned league championships, CISL Rookie of the Year, and became known for my technical skill, leadership, and impact on every team I played for.

After my playing career, I transitioned to coaching and player development, founding the Goran Vasić Pro Soccer Academy and serving as Executive Director of Sporting CT. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of developing and producing numerous professional and NCAA players, while mentoring coaches and building programs that focus on technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial growth.

I hold both the USSF-A and USSF-B Coaching Licenses and have been honored in the Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame (2020) and the Middletown Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame (2020). My mission with GV Soccer is simple: to provide players of all levels with the training, guidance, and inspiration they need to excel on and off the field.
